It’s easy to get lost in the midst of this crazy, overwhelming process. The deadlines never end; frequent studying becomes the norm; and missed holidays are expected.
How can you have time for other interests when there’s always something on your to-do list?
Is it possible to actually have a life outside of medicine?
Yes…with a disclaimer though…
Pierrot is a first year medical student who knew in college that he wanted to pursue medicine. But at the time, that was his main focus.
It wasn’t until he decided to take a year off between college and medical school that he learned more about himself and his passions outside of medicine.
