Dr. Karlee Loftin is an orthopaedic surgeon who's journey has been far from predictable. She and her family immigrated to America when she was a child and she knew that if she wanted to go to college, she'd have to find a way to pay for it herself.

Despite the stressors and unpredictability of life, Dr. Loftin has taken an approach that has served as a compass in her life - Many moments of, "What if I just try..." and multiple leaps of faith.

We also talk about:

  • How she learned how to lean into her intution and how that has become her compass.
  • Why it's so important to know your worth.
  • How to respond to difficult situations, including as a resident.
  • Advice for transitioning from being a trainee to going out in practice.
  • And more!
